Job Overview
The consultant will become the day-to-day onsite quality leader responsible for maintaining operational continuity until the permanent Quality Director returns.
Key Objectives
- Maintain day-to-day leadership of the Quality organization.
- Provide a visible onsite leadership presence.
- Prevent operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain employee engagement and morale.
- Ensure manufacturing quality operations continue without disruption.
- Support multiple active customer programs.
Duties
- Lead the onsite Quality organization during the leadership transition.
- Partner daily with Manufacturing, Operations, and Engineering leadership.
- Ensure product continues flowing efficiently through Quality Control.
- Support the existing Quality Control Supervisor through coaching and guidance.
- Prioritize quality resources across multiple manufacturing programs.
- Participate in daily manufacturing and cross-functional meetings.
- Support customer quality issues and escalations.
- Maintain operational execution.
- Drive communication between leadership and production teams.
- Ensure customer commitments remain on schedule.
Requirements
- 15+ years of operational Quality leadership experience.
- Previous Site Quality Director experience.
- Medical device manufacturing background.
- Strong operational Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong Quality Control knowledge.
- Manufacturing floor leadership experience.
- Cross-functional leadership skills.
- Customer-facing communication experience.
- Experience transitioning products from NPI into sustaining manufacturing.
- Able to quickly earn credibility with production and engineering teams.
Pay: $150.00 - $175.00 per hour
