Job Summary:
The Sterling Hotel Sacramento, a charming boutique property with 16 beautifully designed rooms, is seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Part-Time Front Desk/Housekeeper. This dual-role position involves providing excellent customer service at the front desk while also ensuring that our guest rooms are immaculately cleaned and maintained. Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties: Cloudbeds experience is a plus**
- Greet and check-in/check-out guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and guest inquiries via phone or in-person.
- Assist with guest requests and resolve any issues to ensure a positive stay.
- Maintain accurate records, including payments and guest information.
- Coordinate with other staff to ensure seamless operations.
Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to the hotel's high standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
- Perform thorough room inspections to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Launder linens and towels, and ensure a clean, organized work area.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Prior hotel front desk and/or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and switch between front desk and housekeeping duties as needed.
- High attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
