Position Title: PRN Building Maintenance Technician
Employment Status: PRN (As Needed)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Location: Marion, Dillon, and Marlboro, South Carolina (travel between facilities required)
Position Summary
The PRN Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Trinity Behavioral Care's facilities, grounds, and agency vehicles to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for clients, staff, and visitors. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance duties as needed and responds to facility maintenance requests across all agency locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of agency facilities to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
- Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and HVAC maintenance and repairs.
- Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, fixtures, and other building components as needed.
- Repair doors, locks, windows, cabinets, furniture, and other facility equipment.
- Perform pressure washing of buildings, sidewalks, and other exterior surfaces.
- Maintain agency vehicles by washing, cleaning, checking fluid levels, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and equipment installation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from supervisors and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and supply usage.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when repairs require specialized services.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Trinity Behavioral Care safety policies.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
- Participate in Health, Safety, and Welfare Team activities and meetings.
- Travel between Marion, Dillon, and Marlboro offices as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently.
- Valid South Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and maintenance equipment safely.
Work Schedule
This is a PRN (as-needed) position. Work hours will vary based on agency needs and facility maintenance requirements. Travel between Trinity Behavioral Care's Marion, Dillon, and Marlboro locations is required.
