Responsibilities
- Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and retail displays
- Source high-quality flowers and foliage, ensuring freshness and variety to meet design needs
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert guidance on floral choices and arrangements
- Maintain a well-organized workspace, including proper storage of flowers and supplies
- Keep up-to-date with current floral trends, techniques, and industry best practices
- Assist in setting up displays, promotional materials, and visual storytelling elements using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma when needed
- Support the team in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a florist or in a related visual arts or design field with a strong portfolio showcasing floral work or graphic design projects
- Proficiency in art direction, photography, digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator), and layout design software (InDesign)
- Knowledge of color theory, typography for media, visual storytelling, and graphic design illustration techniques
- Familiarity with digital art creation, hand-drawn illustrations, motion graphics (After Effects), 3D animation (Maya), or web design (HTML/CSS) is a plus
- Strong understanding of visual arts painting, interior design principles, print advertising concepts, and production design processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate creatively within a team environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
