JOB SUMMARY:
Douglas Machine is seeking a hands-on Anodize Supervisor to lead our metal finishing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production in our anodizing department — ensuring quality finishes, safety compliance, team performance, and achieving lead time goals.

Production & Operations
- Oversee daily anodizing and metal finishing operations, including scheduling and workflow
- Monitor production output, lead times, and efficiency metrics
- Partner with Production, Sales, and customers to develop and implement quality standards and delivery expectations
Quality & Process Improvement
- Maintain and improve quality control standards and finishing processes
- Develop and manage SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, workflow optimization)
Safety & Compliance
- Have knowledge of and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations
- Lead safety training on programs like Lockout/Tagout, confined space, and material handling
- Promote a strong safety-first culture, developing and revising policies in place as necessary
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, supervise, coach, and develop a team of hourly production employees
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and hiring
- Foster accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
Preferred:
- Has strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards
- Has experience in leading teams and driving performance
- Has 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or metal finishing
- Has experience in anodizing, aluminum finishing, plating, or coating processes
- Has familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives and/or experience with OSHA and environmental compliance programs
