Job Overview
We are seeking 2 compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care and support to clients requiring assistance with daily activities. - Has to work a Saturday or a Sunday
Duties
- Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using patient transfer methods and equipment like Wheeled walker and Wheelchair
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and recognizing changes in condition
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and end-of-life support with empathy and professionalism
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols such as first aid, basic life support (BLS), CPR certification, and heavy lifting techniques when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working as a live-in caregiver or in home healthcare settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in a caregiving capacity
- Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, medication management, and patient transfer methods
- or palliative care environments, and geriatrics is advantageous
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as BLS or hospice care are a plus
