Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 588 sub-acute and long term care facility located in Woodbury, NY, is actively seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The candidate should possess a passion for the geriatric population as well as a desire to be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training
Document patient progress and report changes to supervising PT
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
Qualifications
Active PTA license in NY
Strong communication and patientcare skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment
Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or longterm care preferred
