Salesforce Platform Developer
Location: North Houston/Spring area
Work Arrangement: On-site
Salary: $90,000-$115,000
Bonus: 15% annual bonus opportunity
Job Type: Full-time, exempt
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting a Salesforce Platform Developer for an established, privately held B2B organization serving the commercial foodservice equipment and solutions industry.
The company supports leading manufacturers and customers across restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, education, and other commercial environments. It offers the stability of a long-established business paired with an active growth strategy, expanding operations, and continued investment in its internal technology platform.
This position will take meaningful ownership of the company’s Salesforce environment. You will work closely with leadership and business stakeholders to build solutions that improve sales effectiveness, customer service, reporting, data quality, automation, and operational efficiency.
This is broader than a traditional Salesforce Administrator position. The right person will combine Salesforce configuration, declarative development, data management, reporting, troubleshooting, integration support, and appropriately scoped custom development.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Translate business requirements into practical and maintainable Salesforce solutions
- Determine when to use standard configuration, declarative automation, custom development, integrations, AI tools, or outside consultant support
- Configure and improve standard and custom objects, fields, relationships, record types, and Lightning pages
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automation using Flow Builder, formulas, validation rules, and related declarative capabilities
- Create reports, dashboards, custom report types, and business metrics for internal teams and leadership
- Configure and support Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Improve case-management processes, including Email-to-Case, routing, automation, activity tracking, reporting, and operational metrics
- Manage Salesforce security and access, including organization-wide defaults, roles, sharing rules, permission sets, profiles, field-level security, and record access
- Improve data quality through imports, cleansing, reconciliation, validation, duplicate analysis, and investigation of issues across connected systems
- Develop appropriately scoped custom solutions using SOQL, Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and related technologies
- Support integrations through requirements gathering, data mapping, API and authentication support, troubleshooting, and middleware coordination
- Investigate platform issues across configuration, automation, custom code, data, security, and integrations
- Build practical solutions using Agentforce, Prompt Builder, generative AI, and other AI-assisted tools
- Use AI to accelerate development, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, and data-quality work while independently validating all output
- Maintain clear platform and process documentation
- Manage assigned work through the team’s backlog and project processes
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience
- Experience beyond routine user administration, including configuration, automation, reporting, data management, troubleshooting, or solution delivery
- Strong experience with Flow Builder, formulas, validation rules, custom objects, custom fields, record types, and Lightning App Builder
- Strong Salesforce reporting, data-modeling, and data-management skills
- Experience creating custom report types and managing secure data visibility
- Experience with imports, exports, data cleansing, reconciliation, and data-quality investigations
- Working knowledge of Salesforce security, permissions, sharing, and record-level access
- Working knowledge of Service Cloud and case-management workflows
- Practical knowledge of SOQL
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify appropriately scoped Apex and Lightning Web Components
- Ability to build straightforward custom solutions when declarative tools are insufficient
- Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, authentication, JSON, and data exchange between systems
- Experience using generative AI for technical or analytical work
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to investigate unfamiliar configurations and independently deliver well-scoped solutions
- Strong communication, documentation, and business-analysis skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership and internal stakeholders
Why Consider This Role?
- Take real ownership of a Salesforce environment rather than working within one narrow technical area
- Build solutions with a direct impact on sales, service, operations, and business growth
- Gain exposure across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Flow, reporting, integrations, custom development, data management, and AI
- Work directly with business leaders and the teams using the solutions you develop
- Join a stable, established organization that is continuing to grow and invest in its systems
- Work in an environment where practical problem-solving and sound technical judgment are valued
