Cheyenne Medical Lodge is accepting applications for licensed Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to oversee clinical compliance and manage complex patient care protocols. The nursing department utilizes defined tracking methodologies to ensure proper medication management and treatment execution across all clinical units. Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: LVN starting rate is $28/hr. RN starting rate is $35/hr. Higher starting rates are designated for candidates with verified clinical experience.
- Shifts Available: Full-time days, full-time nights, or PRN choices are available.
- Schedule: Floor shifts run on 12-hour blocks from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am. Full-time schedules operate on a rotating pattern that guarantees every other weekend off. PRN nurses select and pick up open shifts based on personal availability.

Responsibilities
- Administer scheduled medications, intravenous therapies, and specialized wound care treatments according to physician orders and Texas nursing standards.
- Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe physical assessments on admissions, readmissions, and residents demonstrating acute changes in condition.
- Document clinical data, vital signs, and care plan interventions accurately within the PointClickCare electronic medical records system.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants on the floor to verify completion of daily care tasks and compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage physician notifications and execute emergency medical protocols during acute clinical changes.
- Participate in shift-to-shift clinical handoffs to preserve accurate patient data continuity across daytime and nighttime teams.
- Oversee infection control measures and dietary compliance routines within assigned clinical units.

Cheyenne Medical Lodge is a 139-bed skilled nursing facility located at 750 Hwy 352 in Mesquite, TX. The facility operates under structured clinical guidelines to maintain steady shift flows and organized supply inventories. Work spaces are organized by floor corridors to optimize nurse transit times during high-volume medication passes.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license verified
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) documentation software.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation for dependable attendance.
