Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our team and support our organization’s human capital management initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to workforce management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR operations. As a vital member of the HR department, you will help drive strategic planning efforts, support employee development programs, and assist in maintaining a compliant and engaging workplace culture.
Duties
- Assist with talent acquisition activities including recruiting, ATS (Applicant Tracking System) management, and onboarding processes such as employee orientation and training & development programs.
- Support employee evaluation processes by coordinating performance management initiatives and maintaining accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data.
- Administer benefits programs, payroll processing, and benefits administration to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation and benefits delivery.
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, facilitating conflict management, and supporting HR legal compliance including employment & labor law adherence.
- Contribute to change management projects by assisting with organizational design, succession planning, affirmative action planning, and workforce management strategies.
- Collect data for HR analytics using Excel data analysis tools; prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, employment law compliance, and performance indicators.
- Support regulatory compliance management efforts including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), workers' compensation claims, and other legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry of contracts, employee files, incident reports, and other documentation essential for HR operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources or HR department roles with familiarity in human resources management practices.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a MUST
- Proficiency with HR systems such as ADP preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels; adept at conflict management and fostering positive employee relations.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis using Excel or similar tools, and preparing detailed reports for decision-making purposes.
- Administrative experience supporting HR functions such as data entry, contract management, interview coordination, and social media management for recruitment efforts.
- Part-time position working up to 32 hours a week

Pay: $16.00 - $18.25 per hour
