Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, dependable, and punctual Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide safe, professional, and high-quality non-emergency medical transportation services.
Employees are expected to arrive on time and be ready to work at the beginning of every scheduled shift. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism are essential requirements of this position.
The EMT will respond to scheduled ambulance calls, assess and monitor patients, provide care within their scope of practice, and ensure safe transportation to and from medical appointments and other healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and transportation assignments.
- Maintain reliable attendance and be prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time.
- Respond promptly and professionally to scheduled non-emergency medical transportation requests.
- Assess and monitor patients’ medical conditions before and during transportation.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) and emergency medical care as needed and within the EMT’s scope of practice.
- Safely operate and maintain ambulance vehicles and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards.
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, interventions, and responses during transport.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure all medical equipment, supplies, and emergency response materials are properly stocked, maintained, and operational.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional ambulance environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, reliability, punctuality, and respect in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification, including state and/or national certification as applicable.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of BLS protocols, patient assessment, and basic emergency medical procedures.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and transport patients as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and coworkers.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and compassionate care.
- Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Position Details
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Shift Length: 10–12 hours
Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Additional Requirements: Holidays and on-call availability may be required.
