Landscape Weed Control Technician
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in helping customers maintain beautiful properties? We're looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team as a Seasonal Landscape Weed Control Technician. This is a full-time seasonal position with opportunities to learn new skills, cross-train in other departments, and work year-round.
What You'll Do
As a Landscape Weed Control Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining landscape beds at residential and commercial properties by:
- Hand-pulling weeds from landscape beds and planted areas.
- Applying herbicides to help prevent future weed growth.
- Identifying desirable plants and protecting them during weed control applications.
- Maintaining clean, professional job sites.
- Communicating professionally with customers when needed.
- Following all safety procedures and company standards.
- Assisting with other landscape or property maintenance tasks as assigned.
Training & Certification
Employees will be required to obtain their State Core and Category 6 Pesticide Applicator Certifications shortly after being hired.

Previous pesticide application experience or current State Core and Category 6 certification is a plus but is not required. We are happy to train motivated individuals who are willing to learn.
Schedule
Summer Hours (Peak Season):
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Occasional Fridays as needed
Work hours may vary during the fall, winter, and spring depending on seasonal workloads and weather conditions.
Cross-Training & Winter Work
We value employees who are willing to learn and grow. Team members may be cross-trained in other departments throughout the year.
Winter opportunities may include:
- Snow plow driver
- Sidewalk shoveling crew member or crew leader
- Other seasonal property maintenance duties
Qualifications
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to walk, bend, kneel, lift, and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Willing to obtain State Core and Category 6 pesticide certifications.
- Previous landscaping, grounds maintenance, weed control, or pesticide application experience is a plus but not required.
- Current State Core and Category 6 certification is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
