Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience creating high-quality custom soft furnishings and a strong background in sewing home décor items.
Responsibilities:
- Sew and assemble custom cushions and cushion covers
- Create window treatments, including draperies, valances, and Roman shades
- Fabricate custom window seat cushions
- Construct decorative and functional throw pillows
- Read work orders and follow specifications accurately
- Measure, cut, and sew a variety of fabrics with precision
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control
Qualifications:
- Proven experience sewing cushions, window treatments, window seats, and throw pillows
- Proficiency with industrial and residential sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Experience with pattern matching, zippers, welting/piping, and upholstery techniques is a plus
