Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, demonstrating proficiency in various carpentry techniques and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools, installation processes, and the ability to manage projects on construction sites. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for tasks such as framing, door hanging, and installation of fixtures.
- Perform remodeling tasks including stucco application, masonry work, and general construction duties as needed.
- Assemble structures and components according to blueprints and project plans.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers on best practices in carpentry techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians and masons to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Previous experience in remodeling projects is preferred but not mandatory.
