As we scale from 455 to 1,000+ active cases, we're opening our Nashville office to better serve Middle Tennessee clients.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our new Nashville office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to build and manage a substantial caseload while contributing to our firm's expansion throughout Tennessee. The ideal candidate will handle 150-200 active personal injury cases with dedicated support staff, focusing on maximizing client recovery through strategic litigation and negotiation.
Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management
- Manage a caseload of 150-200 personal injury cases from intake through resolution
- Oversee all phases of pre-litigation and litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation
- Develop case strategies to maximize client compensation
- Maintain regular client communication throughout the 8-9 month typical case lifecycle
Legal Practice
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents in Tennessee state and federal courts
- Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and defense counsel
- Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Prepare and present cases at trial when necessary
Business Development
- Contribute to the growth of our Nashville office presence
- Maintain relationships with medical providers and referral sources
- Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives
- Support firm's goal of reaching 1,000 active cases firm-wide
Collaboration & Systems
- Work efficiently within our Cloudlex case management system
- Coordinate with support staff team (2 dedicated paralegals/assistants)
- Collaborate with attorneys across our multi-state practice
- Contribute to development of best practices and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Tennessee (required)
- 2-5 years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
- Experience with auto accident and trucking accident cases strongly preferred
- Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts
- Excellent negotiation and trial advocacy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with case management software (Cloudlex experience a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling high-volume personal injury caseloads
- Knowledge of Tennessee personal injury statutes and case law
- Established relationships in the Nashville legal and medical communities
- Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases
- Additional bar admissions in MS, AR, KY, or GA
Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary
- $70,000 annual base salary
