EL AL Israel Airlines, the international flag carrier of Israel, is currently interviewing qualified applicants for the position of Station Manager at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The primary responsibilities and required qualifications for the position are noted below.
Key Responsibilities
· Leads, directs, supervises and facilitates all aspects of station operation
· Ensures safety and security procedures are consistently followed according to the EL AL Ground Services, Health & Safety regulations, and according to international aviation standards
· Ensures timely, customer-focused service that complies with all applicable state, federal and company regulations, policies and procedures
· Proactively manages all company flight activity including handling of off-schedule operations
· Ensures that coordination and communication with crew and OCC occurs in a professional and timely manner
· Maintains timely and open communication with all relevant departments to assure a safe, timely and customer-focused operation
· Ensures consistent compliance with all federal, state and company procedures
· Supervises contracted ground handling services to ensure that all safety regulations and service levels are consistently met
· Ensures that all contracted staff are adequately trained according to EL AL procedures, and regularly monitors performance to assure that service standards are consistently met.
· Manages the budgeting and administrative aspects of the station; assures that budgets, variance reports, personnel records, sales reports, ticketing, operations and other station reporting requirements are consistently met
· Maintains proactive and productive working relationships with handling agents, contractors and other service providers
· Liaises with other airline station managers, airport operations director, handling agents and security officials, and other airport stakeholders.
Requirements
· Minimum three years airline supervisory experience in airport / ground handling operations
· Thorough knowledge of airline/airport ground-handling procedures and FAA regulations regarding passenger, terminal, ramp operations, security and safety
· Working knowledge of Immigration, Customs and related regulatory policies/procedures
· Ability to communicate well; project professional and positive image to employees, the traveling public, governmental organizations and vendors
· Ability to manage a contracted work force
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and airline DCS systems
· Detail-oriented with proven ability to successfully manage a budget
· Willing to work evenings and changing shifts according to the needs of the operation
· Able to support other stations as required
