Geriatric Psychiatry — Flexible Telehealth & In-Person Care
Happier Living is expanding its geriatric psychiatry services to meet the growing mental health needs of older adults. We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-oriented Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with expertise or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry to provide high-quality care to adults typically age 65 and older. This position offers flexible care delivery — via telehealth, in person, or a hybrid of both. Candidates are encouraged to indicate their preferred modality when applying.
Our geriatric clients commonly present with mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment issues related to aging, grief and loss, caregiver stress, cognitive concerns, and medical comorbidities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to older adults via telehealth
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribe and manage medications with careful attention to geriatric dosing and safety
- Use geriatric-specific assessment tools to inform treatment planning
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members when appropriate
- Support patients through major life changes such as bereavement, retirement, and cognitive decline
- Contribute to Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) efforts through participation in team-based care when appropriate
- Complete documentation in a timely manner
As a Geriatric PMHNP at Happier Living, you will integrate psychotherapy, medication management, and collaborative care planning according to each patient's needs, while practicing within your state scope of practice.
You may collaborate virtually with supervising or collaborating physicians (as required by state law) and other providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Requirements
- National board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Unrestricted DEA registration
- Experience working with older adults preferred
- Ability to practice independently or under collaborative agreement, depending on state regulations
- Participation in Case Conferences
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EMR systems, and ePrescribing
- Part Time / Full Time: 30 - 40 hours per week
