Job description:
We are a warm, child-centered Montessori school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teaching Assistant to support our classroom. Our ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and passionate about supporting young children during this important stage of growth and independence.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support a structured daily schedule rooted in Montessori principles. You will help create a safe, calm, and engaging classroom environment where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to explore.

Responsibilities
- Support implementation of Montessori-based curriculum
- Provide individualized care and attention to meet each child’s developmental needs
- Assist with daily routines, including potty training and bathroom breaks
- Help guide positive behavior
- Engage children in hands-on learning experiences that promote independence, curiosity, and exploration
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Ensure classroom materials are well cared for and accessible to children
- Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student progress and daily observations
- Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working with young children
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus, but not required
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing demeanor
- Ability to remain active throughout the day and lift young children as needed
- Willingness to complete background checks and required trainings
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit, and stand with children such as during circle time
