Experienced Line Cook – Villa Nova Pizza (Lockport, IL)

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Villa Nova Pizza recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and stock your station before each shift and maintain an organized, clean work area throughout service.
- Prepare a variety of menu items including pasta dishes, chicken entrées, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, and other menu offerings.
- Cook food accurately while maintaining consistency, presentation, and proper portion sizes.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner rushes without sacrificing quality.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Properly label, rotate, and store food using FIFO practices.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely ticket execution.
- Assist with prep work, cleaning, and closing duties as needed.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of grilling, sautéing, frying, pasta preparation, and general line cooking techniques.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Reliable attendance with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
