Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to uphold health standards.
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing dishes, resetting tables with clean linens and utensils, and ensuring a tidy environment for incoming guests.
- Assist with food service by delivering orders from the kitchen to tables accurately and promptly, supporting servers as needed.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, chairs, and supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with team members through internal channels to coordinate service flow and address guest needs swiftly.
- Support catering events or special functions by setting up tables, serving food, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the event.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, table setting techniques, and food safety regulations within the food industry.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests in a lively setting.
- Experience with bussing, serving, or catering is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with hospitality or hotel operations can be a plus for those interested in broader hospitality roles.
