Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly in accordance with menu specifications and dietary guidelines

- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Support food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
- Assist with dishwashing duties to ensure the availability of clean cookware and utensils for kitchen operations
- Follow all safety protocols related to food preparation, handling, and sanitation
- Contribute to menu planning efforts by providing feedback on ingredient quality and preparation methods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking methods
- Experience with meal preparation, food presentation, and kitchen organization
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required
