Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in food service management, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating food preparation, and ensuring a smooth operation during your shift.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS transactions
- Ability to assist in areas of accountability including serving, bussing, hosting, and cashiering
- Conduct inventory control to manage stock levels effectively and minimize waste.
- Train, develop, and mentor team members in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Assist with scheduling staff and managing shift assignments to optimize productivity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Monitors and enforces dress code and hygiene standards of restaurant staff
- Handles administrative and other tasks as assigned by the restaurant manager and/or GM
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Experience
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food service management with knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry is essential.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and cash handling practices.
- Experience with training & development of staff members in a culinary environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
