What You'll Do

Conduct virtual and in-person consultations with homeowners to assess energy needs and present customized solar solutions

Analyze utility bills and energy usage to build compelling, ROI-focused proposals

Present and explain financing options including solar loans, leases, PPAs, and cash purchases

Perform site assessments evaluating roof condition, type, shading, and panel orientation

Deliver clear, persuasive system design presentations with projected savings and payback timelines

Manage your pipeline through consistent follow-up via phone, text, and email
-
Close residential solar agreements and maintain accurate records in CRM software

Deliver an outstanding customer experience from initial contact through signed contract
How You'll Build Your Pipeline
Top performers in this role take ownership of their lead generation through multiple channels:

Self-generated leads via personal networking, referrals, and community outreach

Company-sponsored events including home shows, sustainability fairs, sports activations, and community partner events

Canvassing and door-to-door outreach in high-opportunity, pre-selected neighborhoods

Building a referral network with past customers, real estate agents, local businesses, and community organizations

Consistently hitting weekly activity benchmarks for new leads, appointments set, and sales closed
What We're Looking For

2+ years of solar sales experience

Proven ability to close consultative, high-ticket sales

Comfortable with both written and verbal communication with homeowners

Strong communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills

Experience with CRM platforms and digital proposal or quoting tools

Comfortable with door-to-door outreach, field sales, and in-home consultations

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a commission-driven environment

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and clean technology
