Lead Electrician
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Electrician to oversee electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project coordination. The Lead Electrician will supervise crews, ensure work is completed safely and according to code, and maintain high-quality workmanship on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews on job sites
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors
- Train and mentor apprentice and journeyman electricians
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and develop effective solutions
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment
- Conduct job site safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards
- Track project progress and complete required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid electrician license/certification as required by state or local regulations
- 5+ years of electrical experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing crews and schedules
- Knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems
- Ability to operate lifts and other job-site equipment
- Familiarity with estimating and material takeoffs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

Pay: $40,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
