The Accommodations Coordinator for Accessibility and Disability Resources (ADR) serves on the ADR team to provide support and services to students with academic accommodations. The Accommodations Coordinator (AC) is responsible for the daily operations of the Testing Center. This includes coordinating exams, arranging for the alternate format of exams, communicating with faculty and students, as well as oversight of proctors. The AC also provides oversight (hiring, training, and management) of students providing note-taking services to students receiving note-taking accommodations. The AC completes other tasks in coordination with ADR programming, as well as the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) initiatives for students.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
The Accommodations Coordinator for ADR is required to perform a range of duties within the CAE. The primary role is to oversee all aspects of testing and note-taking accommodations. Additional office support may include: scheduling and monitoring appointments, meetings, mail (incoming and outgoing projects), program-specific email accounts, supplies, purchase orders/reimbursements, data entry, maintaining files, developing program reports and communication with student/peer mentors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing Center Operations:

Responsible for the day-to-day proctoring implantation of the ADR Testing Center.

Proctor exams for students testing in the Test Center.

Responsible for communication with faculty regarding all testing issues, including pick-up, delivery, formatting, materials that go with the test, specific instructions for test administration, testing procedures, and general test coordination.

Prepare and organize tests for individual students, ensuring all testing materials are included.

Facilitate test accommodations, including converting exams from online format to paper format, as needed.
Note-taking Operations:

Recruit qualified note-takers every semester, working with faculty for recruitment when necessary.

Match note-takers with approved requests.

Manage all payroll and necessary documentation for note-takers.
Administrative:

Prepare semester reports.

Maintain testing and notetaking information in the ADR disability management system, AIM.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight to additional proctors and after-hour testing, as needed; Supervise note-takers and assist with workers in ADR.

EDUCATION
A high school diploma required along with experience in a college setting.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Accommodations Coordinator will work closely with the Director of ADR and other coordinators and directors within the CAE, as well as maintain a strong working relationship with faculty in all departments. Office space will be provided close to the ADR Director and in close proximity to associated staff. Privacy will be provided as needed for sensitive conversations related to CAE and ADR matters.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
The salary for this position is $17.00 per hour. Additional considerations will be made for relevant experience and educational background.
