We are seeking a dynamic Smoothie Barista for our Solana Beach location. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. They must excel at multitasking, demonstrate reliability by consistently showing up on time for scheduled shifts, and possess a genuine passion for hospitality. Excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly grasp and apply new information, and a strong sense of urgency are essential. Above all, we are looking for a candidate who consistently goes the extra mile for both customers and colleagues, always striving to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items, smoothies, and other beverages
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the smoothie bar area
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably as a Barista or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with Clover POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and handling money accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures

Pay: Base pay is 16.90 per hour plus tips. Tips range from $7-10 per hour bringing the hourly pay to $23-$26. We use a tip pooling system which involves the collection of all weekly tips (per location) for the purpose of equal distribution amongst all team members of that location. Tips are redistributed to employees per location, based on hours worked.
