American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at an academic medical center, working day shifts with a 1:5 patient ratio.

Acute, non-telemetry Medical/Surgical unit in an academic medical center setting

Patient ratio of 1:5

Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

14-week contract

Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, free of licensure hits

BLS required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Academic medical center experience preferred

2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Candidates with a permanent residence within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of profile submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
