Position Summary
DentRight Dental is seeking a highly organized, patient-focused, and proactive Advanced Front Desk / Patient Experience Coordinator to serve as the first impression of our practice. As the hub of communication between patients, providers, and the clinical team, you will ensure every patient interaction reflects our commitment to excellence, efficiency, and compassionate care.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience
- Welcome every patient warmly and professionally.
- Create a positive first and last impression during each visit.
- Resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a calm, friendly atmosphere in a busy office.
- Build long-term patient relationships that encourage loyalty and referrals.
Scheduling Excellence
- Manage the doctor's and hygienists' schedules to maximize productivity.
- Schedule appointments based on treatment priority and provider availability.
- Minimize downtime by filling cancellations and same-day openings.
- Maintain an efficient balance of production and patient flow.
- Monitor schedule utilization and recommend improvements.
Communication
- Answer incoming calls with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Respond promptly to texts, emails, and online appointment requests.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and specialists.
- Confirm appointments and reduce no-shows through proactive outreach.
Insurance & Financial Coordination
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
- Collect co-pays, balances, and payments at the time of service.
- Review patient account balances and communicate financial responsibilities clearly.
- Coordinate with the Treatment Coordinator / Management on larger treatment plans and financing.
Administrative Operations
- Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental.
- Scan and upload documents promptly.
- Process referrals, records requests, and incoming correspondence.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Monitor office supplies and front office inventory.
Team Collaboration
- Support providers and clinical staff to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Assist with morning huddles by reviewing the day's schedule and identifying opportunities or challenges.
- Cross-train with other administrative roles to ensure seamless coverage.
- Contribute ideas to improve systems and patient satisfaction.
Leadership Expectations
This is an advanced role requiring initiative and accountability.
You will:
- Take ownership of daily front office operations.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Mentor and support newer front office team members.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of dental front office experience
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance and benefits
- Experience with Open Dental or similar practice management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred
- Experience coordinating multi-provider schedules
- Knowledge of treatment planning workflows
- Spanish-speaking ability (preferred but not required)
- Leadership or supervisory experience

Compensation
Hourly Pay: $19.00–$26.00 per hour, DOQ (Depending on Qualifications) and experience

90-Day Success Plan
Within the first 90 days, you will:

- Help maintain a productive, balanced provider schedule.
