Summary:
As a Technical Product and Sales Engineer, you will endeavor to develop/enhance existing client relationships through the daily tech support, quality and competitiveness of our products and services here at Buckley. You will also be responsible for promoting the use of our applied represented products with our clients by assisting them with proper selections, application suggestions, design assistance, and become basis of design for future work. This is accomplished through networking with our existing clients consisting of owners and their representatives, end users and Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Contractor and ATC Contractors.
Sales Responsibilities Include:

Capturing sales from outside the organization
- Reviewing plans, selecting highly configurable mechanical products based on performance and required accessories followed by pricing/quoting/negotiating and selling configured products to customers
- Reviewing the equipment performance based on application, releases, job tracking, customer assistance during the various stages of projects and maintaining customer relationships on assigned accounts
- Influencing the schedule of Design Build projects by working with the engineers and becoming BOD
- Working with the Buckley team to provide strategic guidance on pricing, options, application and discounting to ensure the growth of the territory
- Maintaining accurate financial and job history records by the strict use of the PMD
- Possessing advanced HVAC systems and product understanding, advanced application knowledge and must have the ability to apply the mechanical portion of Buckley product line to technical HVAC projects
- Meeting or exceeding personal and territory goals
- Answering product application phone calls; responding to emails from customers relating to: product selections,submittals,performance, quotations, orders, and tracking, freight claims, product availability, quality control
Marketing Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the local engineering community and responding to their production application, selections and or budget requests in a timely manner
- Working with represented manufactures to coordinate periodic visits to help educate the engineering community on the changes/updates pertaining to the products/technology/code and new product offerings
- Identifying potential sales opportunities through marketing channels and actively pursuing them with the goal of becoming BOD at design and winning the project at the contractor level for all represented products
- Our goal is to become basis of design for all products we represent
- Providing assistance to the sales/marketing department through the targeting of jobs that have been laid out around Buckley represented products.
Work Environment
This position requires the employee to maintain standard hours per the Buckley Handbook and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 6 plus years of relevant experience.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC Systems
- Ability to read plans schedules and details
