CAMP LEAD COUNSELOR - $16-$17/hour
The Camp Lead Counselor supports camp leadership by mentoring and supervising
counselors while remaining actively involved with campers. This role helps maintain a
positive camp culture, supports staff success, and ensures campers have safe, fun, and
engaging experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and mentor Camp Counselors
- Support daily camper supervision and group management
- Assist with activity planning and camp schedules
- Address camper behavior and support counselors with challenges
- Serve as a communication link between counselors and camp leadership
- Enforce camp safety rules and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a camp counselor or youth leader required
- Ability to work full-time during camp sessions
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
GENERAL INFORMATION
- All positions are seasonal and run during the summer camp season (June –August).
- Camp is a day camp, with no overnight responsibilities.
- Positions require working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Staff must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, active environment.
- All employees are required to complete mandatory training prior to the start of camp.
- Employment is contingent upon meeting age requirements, completing a
background check, and fulfilling certification requirements as applicable to the role.
- Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends,
depending on position and camp needs
