Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza making or fine dining settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic restaurant environment where quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities. Previous experience in dietary departments, catering, or food safety is a plus. The position involves preparing high-quality pizzas while maintaining strict food handling and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitation of tools and surfaces
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient ordering to ensure availability of necessary supplies
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a timely manner
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies related to food handling and preparation
- Contribute to a positive dining experience by maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service, preferably in pizza or fine dining environments
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or culinary arts is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen environment
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
