About the Role
The Prep Cook is an entry-level position ideal for chefs beginning their culinary careers. This role supports daily operations through ingredient preparation, organization, and maintaining kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries after they have been checked in by the Purchaser

Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices; label and store all products correctly

Maintain walk-in refrigerators, including organization, consolidation, and product rotation

Prepare mise en place for various stations to support service

Assist with stock production and other basic kitchen preparations

Uphold all DOH (Department of Health) standards and food safety regulations

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Qualifications

1 year of restaurant kitchen experience preferred

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with attention to detail
