About the Role
We’re seeking a senior Java developer for an onsite role, focused on building secure, scalable, and innovative enterprise applications. This position blends strong Java engineering with modern cloud-native development, automation, and AI-driven productivity
Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Wilmington, DE
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute creative, high-impact software solutions and break down complex technical challenges
- Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code to maintain engineering excellence
- Automate recurring issues to improve application stability and operational efficiency
- Lead technical evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architecture and solution fit
- Promote engineering best practices and foster communities of practice around emerging technologies
Required Skills & Experience
- Formal training or certification in software engineering
- Strong Java development experience, including enterprise API development
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in automation and CI/CD practices
- Deep understanding of the SDLC, resiliency, and security principles
- Strong experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda)
- Infrastructure-as-code expertise using Terraform
- Demonstrated exposure to AI/ML, agentic AI, or intelligent cloud systems; ability to use AI tools like Copilot or Claude for productivity
- Practical cloud-native development experience
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
