About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile professional to join our team. This is a dynamic, dual-function role combining high-energy Personal Training with vital Gym Operations & Administration. If you love changing lives on the fitness floor but also enjoy staying organized behind the scenes, this role is perfect for you.
Compensation Structure: This position features a dual pay rate structure. You will be compensated at a premium rate for client-facing training sessions, and a separate hourly administrative rate for facility operations and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Training & Client Success
- Assess & Consult: Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and consultations to establish client goals, fitness levels, and biometric data.
- Program Design: Develop and implement safe, progressive, and highly personalized exercise programs tailored to individual client needs.
- Coach & Protect: Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise mechanics, offering real-time modifications to ensure safety and maximum effectiveness.
- Motivate: Provide continuous encouragement, accountability, and support to keep clients engaged throughout their fitness journey.
- Track Progress: Routinely monitor client milestones and adapt training programs as they advance.
- Holistic Guidance: Offer foundational advice on nutrition and lifestyle habits to enhance overall wellness.
2. Gym Administration & Operations
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain a spotless, safe, and highly organized gym floor and office environment.
- Operational Support: Assist with opening/closing procedures, equipment checks, and day-to-day office management tasks.
- Time Commitment: Dedicate a minimum of 1 hour per week to administrative/operational duties, scaling up as required by management based on facility needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics.
- Current Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent NCCA-accredited organization).
- Current CPR/AED Certification.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive, client-first attitude.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in personal training, physical education, or sports coaching.
- Experience leading group fitness classes.
- Sales Mindset: Previous experience in sales or customer service is a major plus, as you will actively help grow your client roster by selling training packages and additional services.
