Member Duties : The Food Security VISTA member's service will allow ISBH staff to better share the food resources available in their communities with clients and build internal resources that more effectively address community needs. This will be accomplished by: 1) assessing the needs of the 19 Appalachian communities that ISBH serves and bolstering in-house food security tools, 2) identifying and creating tools to increase the knowledge of local food resources, 3) building processes that promote the sustainability of ISBH food security initiatives. This position will be a good fit for applicants with skills in research, writing, public speaking, communication, marketing, design, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience, education, or skills in food security, community development, nutrition, social work, or behavioral health is a plus. **Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.**
