Position Overview:
The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive experience for customers needing maintenance or repairs on their boats. This role requires balancing technical knowledge, customer service skills, and efficient coordination with the service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first and primary contact for customers in the service department.
- Understand and interpret customer concerns, both for routine maintenance and specific issues.
- Accurately document customer requests and concerns in terms that are clear for service technicians.
- Relay all problems and requested services concisely to prevent miscommunication.
- Write up repair orders and coordinate with the service manager and technicians.
- Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
- Contact customers regarding any additional services or costs that arise during the repair process.
- Communicate upsell opportunities when appropriate, always focusing on customer needs and satisfaction.
- Build strong rapport with customers to influence future purchase decisions and foster loyalty.
- Help keep the service department organized and efficient, supporting both customers and technicians.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by resolving issues and ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the service process.
Service Advisor Job Requirements

- Valid driver’s license
- LIghtspeed DMS experience a plus
