About the Role
Smoothie King Charlottesville (SK-0258) is seeking a results-driven Store Manager to lead all day-to-day operations of our busy location. As Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind team performance, guest experience, and financial results — reporting directly to the franchise owner. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves healthy living, building strong teams, and delivering consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Sales
- Drive daily sales performance and achieve revenue, labor, and COGS targets
- Monitor and control labor costs relative to daily and weekly sales goals
- Ensure product quality, freshness standards, and recipe accuracy are maintained at all times
- Open and close the store, manage cash handling, and complete daily reporting
- Oversee inventory ordering, receiving, and waste reduction
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train team members in alignment with Smoothie King standards
- Build and publish weekly schedules that balance guest needs with labor cost targets
- Coach and develop team members, conducting regular performance check-ins
- Foster a positive, high-energy culture that reflects Smoothie King's Healthy Purpose mission
- Address performance issues promptly and professionally
Guest Experience
- Model exceptional guest service and hold the team to the same standard
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Champion local marketing and community engagement initiatives
Reporting & Compliance
- Submit accurate daily, weekly, and period sales and labor reports to ownership
- Ensure all health department, food safety, and franchise compliance standards are met
- Maintain current food handler certifications for yourself and your team
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of management experience in a restaurant, QSR, or retail environment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and labor targets
- Strong scheduling, delegation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and some holidays
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience with Smoothie King, Jamba Juice, or similar health-focused QSR brand
- Familiarity with POS systems and labor scheduling software
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Demonstrated success building and retaining high-performing teams
