PolyWorks LLC located in Newburgh, NY is looking for an experienced SQF Manager.
The SQF Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's SQF Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. This role ensures compliance with SQF Code requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. The SQF Manager acts as the primary driver of food safety culture and is the key liaison during audits.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary SQF practitioner as required by the SQF Code.
- Maintain and update the SQF Food Safety and Quality Management System and policies.
- Lead preparation, coordination, and follow-up for SQF certification audits and customer audits.
- Verify and validate food safety plans (HACCP/HARPC) including risk assessments.
- Conduct internal audits, facility inspections, and GMP evaluations.
- Develop and train employees on food safety, hygiene, and SQF program requirements.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, record retention, and ongoing compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes (FDA, USDA, FSMA) and implement required updates.
- Lead cross-functional food safety meetings and drive food safety culture initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Customer Service to address product or process issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality and food safety programs.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of food safety/quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred degree in Food Science or equivalent education or relevant experience.
- Must meet SQF requirements for an SQF practitioner.
- Have HACCP certification and SQF training.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software
- Bilingual/Spanish preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
