We are currently looking to grow our grooming team and are seeking one full-time and one part-time professional groomer. We pride ourselves on maintaining an upscale, safe, and highly professional environment. For our Denver locations, we are looking for energetic professionals who match their creative talent with a dedication to impeccable organization, detailed record-keeping, and strict compliance with PACFA standards.
High-Earning Potential: This is a commission-based position. Our average groomer makes approximately $50–$60 per hour, allowing your income to directly reflect your skill, speed, and dedication. Plus Tips: Keep 100% of your tips from our loyal, generous, and long-standing Denver clientele who appreciate high-quality, professional care.
Schedule Requirement: To maintain our service flow, one weekend day is required for these positions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Expert Grooming Services: Perform full-service grooming including bathing, brushing, drying, precision trimming, and styling tailored to various dog breeds and specific client requests.
- PACFA & Cleanliness Compliance: Maintain a spotless, sanitary, and organized workstation, tools, and tubs. Ensure the entire grooming environment consistently meets or exceeds PACFA standards for animal health, safety, and hygiene.
- Record-Keeping: Accurately document pet notes, weight, coat conditions, behavioral observations, and service details in our management system to ensure consistency and seamless team communication.
- Safe Animal Handling: Utilize low-stress, proper animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure a safe, calm environment for all pets and staff.
- Client Consultation & Care: Assess each pet’s coat/skin condition and deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with owners regarding treatment recommendations and post-grooming care.
- Operational Teamwork: Assist in managing the daily flow of the salon, ensuring tools are maintained, inventory is organized, and the facility remains presentation-ready at all times.
Experience & Requirements
- Grooming Expertise: Three years proven experience as a professional pet groomer, including strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, scissor work, and anatomy. Cat grooming experience is a plus.
- Standards-Driven Mindset: A strong commitment to organization and cleanliness, with prior experience working under, or a willingness to be strictly trained on, PACFA regulatory compliance.
- Strong Administrative/Tech Skills: Comfort with consistent record-keeping and salon management systems to maintain precise client and pet notes.
- Animal Behavior Savvy: Experience in dog training, kennel management, or veterinary assistance is a major plus, demonstrating strong animal handling skills and the ability to manage busy environments.
- Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication skills to build trust and long-term relationships with our loyal Denver clientele.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle large or heavy pets safely in an energetic, active salon setting.
