Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities. As an RBT, you will implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, helping clients develop essential skills and improve their quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene, to promote independence and self-care skills
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement ABA therapy protocols and behavior management strategies in accordance with client care plans
- Support clients during one-on-one sessions, providing direct behavioral therapy tailored to their individual needs
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency and progress toward goals
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts to adapt interventions based on data collection and client response
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education practices
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Strong data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Home-based behavioral experience or school experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Commitment to ethical practices aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
