American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Float Pool position requiring advanced telemetry experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Position is based in a hospital Medical/Surgical Float Pool unit
-
Floating to other units within the facility may be required
-
12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
-
3 shifts per week
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
-
Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty
-
Advanced telemetry experience required
-
Experience with Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA) required
-
Experience with Phenobarbital on telemetry required
-
2 recent Charge RN or Manager RN references required (no peer/coworker references)
-
A NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses is required for consideration

An up-to-date resume documenting specialty experience and any travel experience is required for consideration

First-time travelers with strong, relevant experience will be considered

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate

Weekly orientation is provided

Former permanent staff are eligible to return as travelers after a minimum 12-month break in service

3 professional references are required upon commitment (at least 2 must be from leadership)
