Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS system, Toast, to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and basic math calculations for change and sales totals
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including Barista prep stations, seating areas, and equipment
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with a strong focus on coffee preparation and serving
- Familiarity with Toast POS is highly preferred
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude and positive approach
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and café operations
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
- Previous experience in retail math or cash handling is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively within a team
