Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble breakfast items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, adhering to food safety management protocols and safety standards in production
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support meal preparation for catering or special events as needed, contributing to a seamless food service experience
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of breakfast orders while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety procedures
- Restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry provides a strong foundation for understanding food service operations and culinary techniques
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering enhances your ability to contribute effectively in a busy breakfast environment
- Proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and food safety management ensures efficient prep work and adherence to safety standards
- Experience with food service equipment and cooking methods relevant to breakfast dishes is preferred
