Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Driver / Heidelberg Press Helper to join our printing company.
The Driver position plays a key role in supporting our daily operations by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and mail. This role is responsible for operating company vehicles, coordinating deliveries and pickups, and maintaining compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
In addition to driving duties, this position supports mailing and production operations. The Driver also helps maintain organization and workflow within the production environment as needed.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious, with strong time management skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Local delivery and pick up printing materials, finished products, and supplies, drive our 26’ box truck with lift gate and our sprint vans as needed.
- Safely load and unload materials.
- Ensure loads are properly prepared/wrapped for handling/travel.
- Ensure packing slips align accurately with cartons counts and labels.
- Assist the Heidelberg press operator with setup, operation, and production tasks when needed.
- Prepare paper, ink, and other materials for press runs.
- Keep the press area clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform general shop and production duties as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures.
- Always represent the company in a pleasant and professional manner.
- The roles will usually be in blocks of days as scheduled to fill in for associate vacation or absence.
- Other duties as so assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift and move printing materials up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Printing or Heidelberg press experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
- Overtime and weekends may be required at times.
