Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapist License
- NBCOT certification
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus, though not required
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for students referred for services
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services, collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Recommend appropriate classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
- Document sessions, progress notes, and participate in Medicaid billing as needed
- Take part in IEP meetings and team discussions to support holistic student care
- Regularly monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Offer training and guidance for staff and families to enhance student learning
