Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Public Area Attendant and play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall ambiance of our hotel’s public spaces. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to ensure guests experience a pristine environment that reflects our commitment to excellence. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be the key to creating a welcoming atmosphere by diligently cleaning and caring for lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and other communal areas. Your dedication will directly enhance guest satisfaction and uphold our high standards of hospitality.
Schedule is Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday. 9 AM- 3:30 PM.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and recreational spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and using proper protective equipment.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as moving furniture or heavy cleaning equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain floor care routines including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for guests.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety hazards to protect guests and staff.
- Use janitorial experience and industrial cleaning techniques to uphold cleanliness standards consistently across all public zones.
- Manage custodial supplies inventory and report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management for prompt resolution.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping management with a focus on public space maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively during emergencies.
- Excellent custodial experience with attention to detail in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Effective communication skills combined with a proactive attitude towards safety and guest satisfaction.
