Keen Home Care & Homes Assisted Living Facility in Long Beach has an opportunity for you as a Direct Care Staff! We are a 6-bed assisted living home for the elderly. Direct Care Staff members play a vital role in the daily care for seniors in a home-like setting. Keen Home Care is a full-service Home Care Agency (HCO) that is licensed with the Department of Social Services (DSS). We provide assistance with the DSS registration process and the Department of Justice background check for unregistered caregivers but have sufficient experience.
Job description:
As a Direct Care Staff member, you will:
- Provide assistance to residents with personal care, emotional support, and activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping
- Assist with medication reminders
- Participate in providing activities for the residents (i.e., gardening, painting, puzzles, etc...)
- Contribute to creating a team environment with other staff members and resident family members
Direct Care Staff job requirements:
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work weekends as part of your schedule
- Registered as a Home Care Aide with the Home Care Services Bureau of California
- Basic cooking knowledge
- 2+ years professional caregiving experience (home care, facility, or similar)
- Experience with ADL care, transfers, mobility assistance, and memory care
- Hospice experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
- Current TB test, physical, and valid CPR certification
- Strong English and communication skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
