Job Summary:
The Director, Dealer Relations is responsible for managing and retaining Hough Petroleum’s existing dealer fuel accounts & retail tenants. This role owns the day-to-day dealer & tenant relationship, contract administration, and renewal process, ensuring high satisfaction, strong retention, and stable gallon volume.
This is not a new business role and not a pricing authority role. This position focuses on service, consistency, mystery shops, dealer resigns, property management, tenant relationships, and expanding existing volume & margin, and relationship management, while partnering closely with Pricing and Operations to resolve issues efficiently.
Principal Duties:
Dealer & Tenant Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned existing dealer accounts
- Maintain regular communication and site visits with dealers
- Proactively identify dissatisfaction or churn risk
- Coordinate internal resources to resolve dealer issues
- Recruit & train retail tenants to operate our retail gas stations, repair bay, and/or convenience stores. Finding and replacing tenants to avoid empty properties, is a critical component of this role.
- Serve as primary point of contact for tenants and commission agents; enforce lease terms; resolve conflicts and ensure satisfaction while protecting company interests.
Contract & Renewal Management
- Manage contract & lease timelines, renewals, and documentation
- Execute renewals within approved pricing and margin guidelines
- Identify and escalate non-standard contract requests
- Ensure dealers understand contract terms and obligations
Retention & Growth Support
- Protect existing gallon volume and margin
- Identify opportunities for incremental volume or site expansion
- Partner with the BDM and Pricing Manager on dealer growth opportunities
- Monitor account performance trends and flags
- Work with dealers on improving their site operations & mystery shop scores
Financial Performance:
· Monitor rent collections, property-level profitability, and utility expenses; recommend operational or cost-saving improvements with COO.
· Manage retail tenants regarding on-time deliverables such as rent, paperwork, and deposits.
· Support the billing team by assisting with pricing, credit, and invoicing set-up and following up on any questions or issues.
Essential Functions:
3-5 years of account management or customer success experience
Strong relationship and communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Comfortable coordinating across teams
Experience in fuel, petroleum, construction, industrial, or logistics sales a plus
Must be comfortable operating in an EOS led company.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
Compensation: $65K, plus profit sharing bonus. Full benefits, including vacation, sick & personal days, health & dental insurance, 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and 3% of comp match. Bonus based on company performance and hitting specific individual metrics.
