Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driving license (CDL).
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
