Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently during food production.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and ingredients based on customer preferences and current food trends.
- Manage food handling and preparation tasks, including dough kneading, topping assembly, and baking processes like braising and poaching when applicable.
- Maintain accurate portion control and recipe adherence to ensure high-volume production standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation while upholding excellent food safety management practices.
Requirements
- Proven dietary aide experience or similar food service background in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation within the food industry.
- Demonstrated culinary experience including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques relevant to pizza preparation.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with food production processes necessary for high-volume output.
- Prior restaurant or experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food safety management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
